At North River Ranch, 2025 was more than a year — it was a celebration of what happens when an established, award-winning, master-planned community brings people together. With new amenities, beloved (and new) traditions, and events that filled every month with energy, North River Ranch continued to prove why it’s one of the most exciting places to live in Parrish, FL. New amenities: NRR Camp Hidden Creek official opening
In 2025, NRR’s lifestyle changed with the opening of our amenity, Camp Hidden Creek at North River Ranch. The campus, which complements our existing and popular amenities — Brightwood Pavilion and Riverfield Verandah, each equipped with its own pool — sprawls over a naturally wooded 12 acres. The Clubhouse serves as the community heartbeat for the “fun and fullness of life” philosophy that has captured the imagination of existing residents and new homeowners alike. “First Splash”, a homeowner-exclusive pool day, marked the summer opening of the Headwaters Swim Center, with the main attraction being the double-loop slides. Check out the sky-high views and the exhilarating slide down to the thrill of the splash in the resort-style pool, as well as oasis cabanas to unwind, read a book, and just be.
Continue your outdoor activities at the Pickleball courts, the Bike Pump Park and challenge courses, and the Great Lawn, which is perfect for picnicking, yoga, or playing catch. Camp Hidden Creek’s social Clubhouse includes a lounge area, a Canteen grab-and-go cafe, a business center that serves as a craft room, a meeting room, a tech space, a classroom (yes, that’s one space!), and individual workspaces to be productive or escape for some quiet time. Just across the Great Lawn is the Outpost Activity Center for after-school games, family nights, Foosball tournaments, birthday parties, and more. More than an Amenity, NRR has a Year-Round, Fun Way of Life
The North River Ranch lifestyle events continue to be the heartbeat of activity, connection, and neighborhood. With abundant amenities for a full program of indoor and outdoor recreation and activity, North River Ranch delivers a meaningful style of living for all ages and all stages. It all starts with the custom events (and they are award-winning, too!) created by our full-time Lifestyle Team. They purposefully activate every space for a multitude of pastimes, from clubs to homeschooling, to story time or wine time, crafternoons, and Halloween ghost houses, to name but a few. The most important aspect is that there is always an opportunity to meet and share with friends and neighbors, and enjoy a great experience of living, playing, and enjoying life here.
Further, the calendar specifically offers easy, convenient opportunities to try something new and enjoy tried-and-true favorites in our master-planned community. Our Fit Day featured people stretching and practicing yoga on the “Great Lawn,” enjoying February Florida sunshine, and shopping from several wellness vendors. Of course, our annual Spring Saturday event was a hit with all ages, featuring the Easter Bunny, an Easter egg hunt, a petting zoo with real bunnies, yard games, a flower truck, and more. This year was North River Ranch’s first year participating in World Wellness Weekend, an honor celebrated in 187 countries. We created a variety of ways to participate, including a glow swim and serenity soak at the Headwaters Swim Center amenity, puppy adoptions and yoga, a farmers market & tailgate on the lawn, and much more. This year’s record-breaking signature event, Touch-A-Truck, brought thrills and spills from 100 vehicles (firetrucks, bulldozers, dump trucks, police cars, etc.) to 300 or more families. We wrapped up the year with our annual NRR Winterfest, which included photos with Santa, ice skating, a toy workshop, and artisan market vendors—always a fun way to celebrate the end of a great year.
Across these four events, we had over 1,000 attendees! People love the lifestyle here.
New Schools: Barbara A. Harvey K-8 School Year 2025–26
August 11, 2025, was the first day of school for Manatee County and the inaugural day for students attending the expanded Barbara A. Harvey K-8 School, marking one of the year’s most significant milestones at North River Ranch. This modern, walkable campus now serves students from fourth grade through eighth grade, offering a seamless academic experience rooted in connection, continuity, and community. With its robust STEM programming, enrichment opportunities, and forward-thinking curriculum, the school empowers students to grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Its opening reflects our ongoing commitment to creating a future-focused community where families can truly learn, live, and thrive.
Medical Milestone at NRR
We had a busy summer at NRR with several “firsts.” First Splash, first day at a new school, the first occupant of the future NRR Village, and the first major medical facility in the area! HCA Healthcare, widely considered the largest health system in the U.S., opened the HCA Florida North River Ranch Emergency facility at a rainy ribbon-cutting and served its first patients within 24 hours. The state-of-the-art Emergency features 24/7 physician coverage, 11 trauma rooms, CT, X-ray, and lab services. You can read more about it here. More Awards
North River Ranch continues to receive recognition and accolades from our industry, our peers, and our community. Events such as the Suncoast Builders Association’s Parade of Homes Awards Gala 2025 brought us the coveted “Best of Show Overall Community Development Award” and the “Best Overall Development Category 3 Award,” marking the fifth consecutive year that North River Ranch has been recognized as the Best Development. The community also received the Bradenton Herald’s GOLD Master Planned Community People’s Choice Award for the fourth consecutive year.
