Abundant fitness amenities abound and endless fun awaits. Schools and lifelong learning opportunities are so close, you can get there on foot or on two wheels. On your way home along the Greenway or trail system, stop at the future Market Walk or planned Health-Oriented Village Center for food, drinks, or even take care of your to-do list. Grab groceries, drop off your dry cleaning, pick up a prescription, and more. Who says chores have to bore?
Planned community events like our signature FunDays, Fire Pit Mingle, or Food Truck Fridays will bring neighbors together for memories that make life full.

Brightwood Pavilion
Explore the 4,100 square-foot clubhouse. Take a dip in the resort-style pool or swim a lap or two. Reinvent your outdoor workout at the Avid FitPod or take advantage of the latest strength and conditioning equipment in the Fitness Center. It’s all fun and games with a screened game room complete with foosball, ping-pong, billiards and shuffleboard tables, plus an event lawn with multi-purpose playing field courts. Turn the kids loose on the playground. Bask poolside with a cool drink. Join other families around the Gathering Table to share a meal and make new memories. Come evening, gather round the Firepit for laughter, drinks and conversation. Or just gaze up at Florida’s starry skies.
Riverfield Verandah
Soak up some sun in a relaxing lounge chair pool-side or cool yourself from the gently lapping water from the pool sun-shelfs. Enjoy the shade in our covered patio and outdoor living room area, the perfect, natural extension of your own indoor and outdoor living room. Or hit the Avid FitStations for a quick workout. It’s all part of the planned Riverfield Verandah, complete with an 1,800+ square-foot covered patio area for entertaining, parties and al fresco dining. It’s informal, casual charm makes it the ideal spot to watch the big game, catch up with friends or simply relax.
The Greenways & Trails
Designed by Avid Trails and spanning the entire length of North River Ranch, The Greenway is the main walkway connecting the neighborhoods and will wind through the natural landscape of North River Ranch, much like a cool green river. As it loops in and out of the community, it will link to an interconnecting trail system extending to 20 miles or more. The Trailhead Stations will be your launch point for numerous trail loops complete with mile markers and fitness trackers so you can monitor your distance and speed, plan routes, personal challenges and so much more. The different trailhead loops offer diverse hard and soft surface terrains, from four to ten feet in width. Run, walk, hop or bike. It’s up to you!
Avid Fit
North River Ranch is a community that will move you – literally. Multiple outdoor Avid Fitness Stations will make working out feel like a day in the park. Push yourself on our pro-designed Bike Challenge Loop, monitor your trail experience, or simply explore the neighborhood, hidden pocket parks and peaceful open green spaces. No bike? No problem! Just visit our grab-and-go Bike Share at the Welcome Hub outside the Brightwood Pavilion to get pedaling. Use the app to book your wheels and take in all the fresh air as you explore the community. Expect to be captivated by what you find.
Bike Share
Over 100 bikes and several bike stations will ultimately be available to explore the models, the Greenway, and community amenities.
HOW CAN I USE THE BIKE SHARE?
It’s as easy as pedaling. Download the Movatic app and follow the instructions. Please note, you will be required to return the bike(s) to a designated station/rack. So, please be kind and plan your ride to start and finish at one of the stations. There are a few areas of North River Ranch inaccessible to the Bike Share bikes. The app will provide all the information you need to enjoy your ride.
Events
Hometown traditions bring a lifetime of memories! Become fast friends with your fellow neighbors at our FunDay events. As the community grows, expect a full schedule of activities open to residents and their friends. Farmers’ Markets will let you select the freshest, locally-sourced fruits, vegetables, flowers and more. Happy Hours and Food Truck Fridays will be the norm to catch up with friends and make new ones. Enjoy a variety of activities such as Races for a Cause, block parties, community meals around our Gathering Table, and holiday and seasonal celebrations.
