Here’s their story, in their own words.
Tell us a little about yourself and your family.
My wife and I recently welcomed our first child. Becoming parents has made us appreciate even more what a wonderful place North River Ranch is to raise a family. My wife is a physician, and we relocated for her job. I work remotely as a software engineer and also work part-time as a realtor. We recently moved from Orlando to North River Ranch. While Orlando was home for several years, we were excited to make the move and start this new chapter here.
What are your favorite hobbies?
We enjoy spending time outdoors as a family, walking the trails throughout the community, riding bikes, exploring local parks, and taking advantage of everything North River Ranch has to offer.
How did you hear about North River Ranch?
As a part-time Realtor, I was familiar with many of the new communities in the area, and North River Ranch immediately stood out because of its thoughtful design, amenities, and long-term vision.
Why did you choose to live at North River Ranch?
The location was a huge factor for us, along with the incredible amenities and the community’s vision for the future. We’re especially excited about the future NRR Village, which will add even more convenience and make an already great community even better.
Which builder and floor plan did you choose and why?
We chose a David Weekley home with the Crestview floor plan. We love how open and inviting the layout is; it really brings our family together. We’ve also had an outstanding experience with David Weekley and can’t say enough great things about the people we’ve worked with throughout the process.
What are your favorite amenities here?
Our favorite amenities are the Camp Hidden Creek Clubhouse, especially the activity center with the pool tables and games, and the complimentary bike rentals. We also love the miles of walking trails throughout the community. Another favorite is Parrish Community Park, where we enjoy the playground, splash pad, community events, and the seasonal markets held throughout the year.
What do you like best about North River Ranch?
The sense of community is what really sets North River Ranch apart. It’s incredibly family-friendly; neighbors are always saying hello and looking out for one another, and there are so many community events that bring everyone together. It truly feels like a neighborhood where people know each other.
Tell us about the convenience of getting to shops, supermarkets, schools, healthcare, and more.
The location is one of the biggest advantages of living here. We have convenient access to St. Petersburg, Tampa, and Sarasota, making it easy to enjoy everything the Gulf Coast has to offer while still coming home to a quieter, family-oriented community. Shopping, grocery stores, restaurants, and everyday conveniences are all close by.
What would you tell someone considering buying a home in the community?
If you’re looking for a place to put down roots and raise a family, North River Ranch is hard to beat. One of our favorite things is seeing families out walking, children riding bikes, and kids playing outside throughout the neighborhood. It has a welcoming, small-town feel while still offering modern amenities, beautiful homes, and convenient access to everything you need. We also can’t say enough great things about our experience with David Weekley Homes at North River Ranch; they’ve been wonderful to work with from start to finish.
If you had one more thing to say about North River Ranch, what would it be?
North River Ranch has truly become home for our family. In just the past year, we’ve built wonderful memories here, and we can’t imagine a better place to raise a family. Between the welcoming neighbors, thoughtfully planned amenities, and exciting future growth, we’re confident we made the right decision and look forward to many years here.
