The Lopes Family

Getting what you want is a good thing, especially when buying a new home. So many things are considered in this major financial decision. Sure, it’s about the home design and price, but it’s also about the community, lifestyle, setting, and climate. All these aspects need to complement each other to make dream home living really come true. At North River Ranch, we’ve created a new home experience that is meaningful from every angle for real people. We recently spoke with the adorable Lopes family to discover why they chose North River Ranch to plant down new roots. Meet Bryan, Melissa, Elijah (9), and Zoe (6).

Like so many others who flock to North River Ranch in sunny Florida, the Lopes family are Mid-West transplants. “We always wanted to live in the warm state of Florida.” They are originally from Dublin, Ohio. Quality time is essential to them. They wanted to spend more time enjoying life instead of dealing with increasingly above-average snowfall, sleet, frigid winter temperatures, and the endless and backbreaking task of shoveling snow. “We love our move to Florida mainly because of the weather (no more shoveling snow) since we like to be outdoors. There are year-round activities to enjoy, amusement parks nearby, world-class beaches, and beautiful natural forests and parks, to name a few. There is so much to love about Florida, and we are glad to be here.” All of that inclement weather takes an enormous toll on home maintenance and the life of an automobile. We’re glad they made the trek to Florida, where the average temperature ranges between 60-75 degrees during the winter. Life really is better in the sunshine state.

Professionally and educationally, life is better here too. There are many opportunities for thriving careers near North River Ranch. Bryan is a Section Supervisor at All Children’s Hospital in St. Pete. Melissa is a teacher at nearby Palmetto High School. Quality education is very important at North River Ranch. That’s why we are right across the street from Barbara A. Harvey Elementary school and have plans for a conveniently located middle school within our community. Eli is in 4th grade, and Zoe is in 1st grade at Harvey. They can easily walk to and from school and come home for lunch. That kind of quality time and versatility makes a difference.

As their kids were getting older, the Lopes family needed more space. “We built a home in Harrison Ranch in 2014, but with our kids getting older, we found ourselves needing more room. So, we built a home in North River Ranch and moved in December 2020.” Spacious living is easily found at North River Ranch from a wide variety of acclaimed homebuilders, including Pulte Homes, David Weekley Homes, KB Home, Park Square Homes, Homes by WestBay, and Neal Communities. “We built with Centex [now sold out ]and went with the Seabrook Model. We love how open and spacious it is for our family. It also has plenty of space available for when family or friends come over without feeling cramped.” We love hearing that! Home is a place where everyone can feel instantly comfortable and where gatherings can be spontaneous. New homebuyers can take advantage of the variety of smartly-designed floor plans here. Finding the perfect one is easy by design!

The Lopes family is also fond of the active amenities at North River Ranch. “We love all of the neighborhood’s amenities, and they were the main reason we moved here. Melissa and Bryan enjoy keeping fit with the outdoor fit pods and fitness center. Eli and Zoe love the pool and playground, where they like to meet new friends and neighbors. The game room is a great amenity for parties as well. We can’t wait for the paths to be completed to go on family bike rides.” So, if you are looking for the fun and fullness of life right now, North River Ranch is home in every way. Join us now!
