This time of year is about giving thanks, reflecting, and appreciating what matters most — being with the people we love. This holiday season, we can finally be reunited, hugged, and be with each other again. Gathering together again is something to be extra grateful for this year. And it all happens at a special and magical place called home. It’s where our most cherished memories are created. It’s where they are celebrated. Current homeowners at North River Ranch are gearing up for the holidays by decorating their home with their own traditions to welcome friends and family. You can practically smell all the home cooking from family recipes they are planning for the holidays in their spacious new homes. Nothing beats a home-cooked meal for the holidays (just remember to invite us over!)
Homecooked meals are just one of the things we’re grateful for. Everyone appreciates and deserves those. That’s why we support local organizations throughout the area. Did you know that North River Ranch supports Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee to help provide and deliver healthy and tasty meals to the elderly, families, and those in need in the local area? We do! Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee has been doing life-changing incredible work since 1972. The ‘PLUS’ part of Meal on Wheels PLUS includes expanded services — Daybreak Adult Day Center, The Food Bank of Manatee, Friendship Dining Centers, and home-delivered meals.
We’ve also partnered with Step Up Suncoast to assist local families in need throughout Manatee County, Hardee County, Charlotte County, DeSoto County, and Sarasota County. They make tremendous strides with so many things that people can take for granted. Services include parenting support, identifying child development milestones, pre-school enrollment, preparing parents for their child’s needs in kindergarten, financial aid with paying rent, mortgages, & utilities, and filing taxes. Step Up Suncoast is helping people in Florida navigate the world better right now.
So much of life in Florida is outside. Protecting the environment and nature is very important to us too. That’s why North River Ranch supports Keep Manatee Beautiful and Adopt-a-Road. These non-profit, grassroots organizations connect people to purpose. Since 1991, they’ve been offering solutions to littering, illegal dumping, solid waste disposal, recycling, and beautification. More than 10,000 local volunteers help them keep their mission by planting trees, cleaning up litter, and doing outdoor beautification projects.
At North River Ranch, we embrace our gratitude all year long by giving back to those in need locally in so many ways. It makes us feel good, Parrish feel good, and Florida feel good. It’s part of the hometown values we live and embrace. We want everyone in the Parrish and surrounding areas to feel included, acknowledged, and appreciated. That is our Thanksgiving wish.
